Does anyone here found success or is successful in promoting their sites or products in Yahoo groups?

i found one proxy site... and he was blessed with 200 uniques everyday from yahoo groups.. but i think

is much better..

One need to be very careful in this type of marketing because it is closely related to email spam. However I know a few people who are very successful with this method but I myself never tried it.

hmm. I've only tried this on myspace, but I'm going to look more into this. Thanks! But, yes, you don't want to spam, that will just get people mad at you, a lot of people will want to get your account terminated if you continue to annoy them, so watch out. You don't want to annoy group members.

i got some affiliate sales on yahoo groups before they were egroups.com
and also posting at groups.

.com much better for me is yahoo because it's designed like a mailing list while groups.

.com is designed like a newsgroup, most people are there not to buy but to chat about anything more on politics.

well i did a bit of posting one or two about my blog post's but was unable to get traffic,
