speedtest.com shows 89kbps download speed and 129 kbps upload speed.My service says they give me 256Kbps.I will complain them about this!!

Dare there are a few things before you do a speed test. You must have no other window open except for your browser. And also you must have nothing else communicating with the net. And ofcource no other webpages loading.

My internet speed is advertised at 6Mb and I get generally 5700 down and 414 up on speed tests. I have Bellsouth FastAccess Extreme DSL 6.0 and I live 1200 feet from the CO, so great connection.

As far as I know it is about 10-1500 . I am using the optimum online.
I truly doubt sometimes that it is so lol...I have tried some of friens pcs that are on the phone line and seems all same to me.:)
