Default Cheap Domains?

I'm looking for a place where I can buy a domain name for less than $4 a year (excl. hosting). Am I dreaming or is there such a place?

Thanks.

Well only place you can buy for price like that is at Namepros with forum cash. Still you have to pay forum cash equal to 8 USD i think.

I think Yahoo do only for first year then its 9 USD. well Again Yahoo doesn't have a great reputation as a domain registrar. There are lot of bad stories about them.

It is difficult to get domains under $4 without buying a hosting from them in which case it will be free.

Well, I have never bought a single domain. I usually get them all for free through sites and forums.

I have seen low prices on domains from time to time, however I would highly recommending putting out the $8-$9 for a domain from a highly trusted company. Giving money out to small businesses that no one has ever heard of just to save a few dollars is just asking for trouble.

Little hard to find a domain at $4. In my opinion you shouldn't pay more than $15 for a domain. I would suggest buying a domain from http://www.godaddy.com .

If its a .com/ .net or .org I think you shouldn't pay more than 9 USD for a domain name. at godaddy you can buy around 6-7 USD with their promo codes.

You can get free domains (for real!) at ddBoard and NamePros. Both require that you earn enough points and then you can request your free domain.

ddBoard requires 3,000 ddPoints for a domain. ddPoints can be accumulated by posting, replying to threads, creating/voting in polls, rating threads, viewing thread, high scores in arcade, etc. You can also earn ddPoints by doing incentives. That makes the process easy. There is one incentive by an admin that gives 2,000 ddPoints.

NamePros requires 425 NP$ for a free domain. You do not get any NP$ for forum activities except from incentives or from getting one by service or by selling an existing domain. NamePros is more harder but the process is automatic; ddBoard is manual and therefore if more than $500 USD is spent for domain by the admin per month, he can't purchase any more and you have to wait another month.

I would recommend ddBoard first but in case the $500 limit is reached and you can't wait any longer you should go to NamePros.

I prefer a lot Namepros system.

Its automatic and you can buy anytime you want.

There is another way to earn credits than intensives that by clicks on ads section.

Also you can use the points to buy other things too like hosting or other services

Easy to sell someone else than DDboard points

Well if you are a old member you can earn for posting at namepros too [I earn NP$ by posting there]

Nampros is nice website to buy a domain, but there service is little slow.i think godaddy website is best to buy a domain as their price is low and their service is quite good.People who use namepros can also use their currency to buy domain from them as paypal is acessable from some corners of the world.
