I have been thinking about building my own website, however the one thing that concerns me is providing content, fresh content, neighborhood stats, calculators, etc,....

point2 does a very good job at doing this, however if i decide to do my own website, where can I find a suitable web tool to design a site?

If you want to make a design for your website, I would say: learn HTML and CSS! When you know the basic of HTML and you know how to use CSS to design your website, you can go ahead and learn PHP and MySQL to make your website dynamical. This means that you can have an admin panel where you can update your contant instantly, instead of having to upload your html sites over and over again.
Take a look at W3Schools Online Web Tutorials for tutorials :).

Well, you should learn HTML and CSS, yes. But you should get Photoshop and DreamWeaver to make the design better. If you have good skills in Photoshop, you can make awesome layouts for your website! Go ahead and download the trail and play around with it :).

You can also hire someone to do these things for you if you think that your knowledge isn't enough to do web sites.

I would suggest u to get the site made properly from a professional and by that time u can learn HTML and PHP. Then, may be after your site is ready, you can edit something that you want to change or may be update the content. In doing this you will gain some perfection and the much-needed practice for building a site on your own...

If you have enough money outsource the project else get dreamweaver and a free template to design site or use wordpress... develop very good and unique content.... after building the site, get hosting and start SEO.

If you are making the site for your business needs than you need to hire professionals so that they can work on your site in efficient manner. You can Google through to get good professionals.
