Is it hurtful to add e-mail addresses or phone numbers to your blogs or is that considered advertising like a website. I'm doing well with a few blogs linking my websites but I don't want to hurt myself by adding my phone number. The phone number sure would help though ! Any thoughts out there ?:eek:

I would like to hide my private information as much as possible. I guess you could add a cellphone but I won't put my phone number there.

I don't think mobile No is needed for blog. email maybe but even you can hide that. anyone who want to contact you still can contact you.

I'm not concerned with people seeing my phone number because my blogs are business related. I'm wondering if it hurts search engines thinking they are businesses like a website, any answers?

I don't think you you need to put your number on site because i always can leave e-mail and if anyone is really interested in contacting you you always can give phone. I don't know how react search engines

the more contact info you can provide the better, be sure to post a business telephone number or get one free from k7

Personally I wouldn't, if you could why not just add a (PHP) Contact form, no worries?

the k7 is completely anonymous just giving your client the utmost confidence that the merchant is a real person. the only thing that i don't post is my photo and my credit card numbers of course lol

I wasn't sure if a blog could be used like a website. I've heard on this forum you shouldn't add a phone number because Google might not like the blog because it's more like a website. Please respond !!:eek:

I've seen other business related Blogs with e-mail addresses and phone numbers so I'm still confused on this issue and I don't want to sand box my blogs !!

well if you're a business like a business newsletter and business blog it should be a part of your web site, just to update your membership of course, the newsletter is the "push" via email and the "pull" is your blog "pulling" from se and via .xml and also on other websites since it's easy to syndicate .xml

I don't think that Phone number is needed unless you are a business. You could of course give out your e-mail address, but you could hide even that if you wanted by using a contact form instead of giving out your email.
