Default CMS or custom scripts

Do you prefer to use pre-made CMS scripts or make your own custom scripts?

The only CMS's I use are WordPress for blogs and phpBB for forums and other than that I prefer custom-made CMS's.

I would use a CMS Script and then customize it quite a lot so people can't recognize what script it is script :)

I would settle with a pre-made CMS script. Since I am not knowledgeable in making it myself.

Sooooooo, the site is basically all hand coded static content with no known php library or "cms" behind it?

EDIT: while I got some attention. Why use vBulletin instead of phpBB, inoboard or whatever? Speed, features, etc?

btw, this wysiwyg post editor screws up in firebird on windows.

TRY JOOMLA and then you will be more satisfied and the only reason for going to CMS solutions is you want to avoid the tensions of coding but the best possible solution is hand coding and if that is not possible the only thing that we can do is find the best closest solution.

CMS means Content Mangement System. If you're not a good coder, you can try and install these scripts for features over your website.

One very flexible CMS is Joomla. It's highly recognized through out the internet, and some people believe it's the best.

Good luck!
