I have always dreamed of starting a business online or something or offering part time services. It's really interesting reading about people who have taken this venture. I think once you are talented you should succeed. Flexible working hours.

php means development , adobe & photoshop means design best way is pick one.

Yes I tend to agree with you there. Fulltimers have it shakey sometimes as well. But freelance is alwys riskier unless you already have a name.

Its always risky when you start a business your own, online or real. Its better keep the current job ( if you have one ) till you start getting a steady income from your online work.

I wouldn't make a site in Ajax. Yes, gmail uses it. But if JavaScript is disabled. The entire site would be disabled if it was purely written in it. You need a backup language for those who have Ajax disabled. I always use PHP and MySQL together.
