Default Affiliate or PPC

Do you use Affiliate programs or PPC networks to earn from your web sites ? or use both.

On some of my sites I use both. PPC is more consistent but nothing beat affiliate payouts.

It depends on niche. On some sites I'm using PPL (Pay per lead) affiliate programs and on some sites I'm using PPC ads. Affiliate leads and sales are seldom but they do pay way better than PPC.

You can click on their ad on our homepage on the right bottom and sign up their!

You can also advertise your WB Link in your Sig as we were told that it works pretty well!well! ;)

Well, does anyone know any affiliate programs selling anything useful? That's the problem I've seen with them.

I took WidgetBucks off my site because by the time their widget loaded, it was like 4-5 seconds. It seems longer now after the update than before. I wasn't making that much, but I didn't have it in the best spot perhaps.

As to the affiliate versus PPC, you have to really test it to see. As was said, some sites do better than others with either method and you can use both methods on the same site.

Currently I only use affiliate programs on my sites, but I'm going to launch a new forum soon on which I'm gonna display PPC ads.

I think it depends. I don't really like and believe in affiliate links (never used them). I also think that hurts your relation between you and the visitor. The most affiliate links that i see are lame offers that the victim is YOU the publisher and the VISITOR. You try to force visitor to the service and they many times try to cheat at you. I will suggest you to read the TOS & payment DETAILS and all the details when you use affiliate links

Maybe PPC networks are better than Affiliate programs.Seems some Affiliate programs are scammers. So I prefer PPC networks.

Well you have to find good reputed Affiliate programs. Also which would match your website. Amazon.com CJ.com and clickbank.com are the best I think.

both, anything to make me money of course.
there's actually no difference, since affiliate programs now are integrating cpa (cost per action or signup) and cpc (cost per click) into their affiliate membership
