Why don't you post articles to other similar free & business oriented wikis instead of submitting your url to different directories. I bet wikis will prove much more effective than 100 link directory submissions. The quality of the backlinks will be much higher with wikis.

In my experience, directory submission helps in promoting the sites. It's a bit tricky. So you need to follow it up with posting in forums, social bookmarks and social networks.
