Talking Windows Vienna : Future Technology of Microsoft

Most of you Wink would be thinking what the hell is this new stuff about Windows Vienna going on. Well to tell you the truth I would say that Windows Vista is a twin sister of Windows Vienna only the difference being that Windows Vista is a premature baby of Microsoft daddy Very Happy

Windows Vista has hardly been in the market till now and already the talks for Windows Vienna are already on the show.

Giving a slight over view of Windows Vienna. Windows Vienna is a part of the Microsoft Windows Family and is the next Operating System in line after Windows Vista. Given below are some facts and news related to Windows Vienna that you may find interesting Wink

* Windows Vienna, during its development process and BETA testing, was known as Blackcomb.
* Windows Vienna, though scheduled to be released after Vista, was originally announced on February 2000 (Long before when Windows Vista was actually announced)
* Blackcomb, The Codename for Windows Vienna, comes from the world consistently rated #1 ski resort Whistler Blackcomb located in Whistler, British Columbia, Canda.
* Sharing the qualities of its Premature Twin Sister (Windows Vista), Vienna has also been subject to major delays and rescheduling.
* Blackcomb got its real name in January 2006.
* Windows Vienna is targetted to be a Revolutionary Release (Bringing Real Innovation) however Windows Vista and all previous versions of Microsoft Windows have been Evolutionary Releases (Following Previous Trends).
* There is no fix Release-Date announced for Windows Vienna yet, however it is planned to be released anywhere between 2009 to 2012.
* We know that Windows Vista brought us only Re-Enhanced and Further-Modified features. However Vienna promises us to bring features that shall be purely new and unseen e.g. GroupBar replaced by Taskbar and Pie-Menu type circular Interface.
* Lot of features originally planned for Windows Vista may become part of Windows Vienna.
* Windows Vienna will be available both in 32-Bit and 64-Bit Editions for the Client Version.

Do comment If you find the Information new and interesting.

At present people are working on window xp,because many softwares do not work properly on window vista and some people finding problem in upgrading their system thats why.I think microsoft must give sometime to window vista to get nestle into the market after that they should launch.Otherwise there will be competition between their own products.

It will be interesting to see what the system requirements of it will be. Also, I would like to see why or what benefit we would have moving up to the new one when it comes out.
