Well i have used both Cpanel and DirectAdmin but i prefer Cpanel coz it has more features.

I really love cPanel and have been using it since version 9. It has almost all the features packed into it and is mighty pricey. But it gives you peace of mind and well worth the cost :D

Well Fantastico is the reason which makes cpanel the best. When directAdime gets this , it will make DA perfect too.

There are a few good ones such as IBP and MyPlesk but CpanelX is the greatest for quickie file backups and they keep update with the latest script versions in Fantastico!!

i think that cpanel is the best from the panels that i have used. But i think that there is space for programmers to create better panels.
I don't like that feature of addon domains in cpanel. it should have the option of seperate accounts for domains

for me i would go for direct admin but if you want a fresh application installer try cpanel. DirectAdmin is much faster than cpanel

FANTASTICO (auto script installer) its awesome saves lot of time installing opensource scripts.

cPanel is definitely the best control panel around, the second one I like is Plesk, will use plesk if I'm forced to use it. Ensim is the worst I have ever come across.

cpanel is very popular but for me i prefer plesk for windows and Direct admin for linux.. both is not resource hagger unlike cpanel.
