You've learn internet marketing! Great! So you send traffic to your affiliate sites, and suddenly realize that you don't have people buying your product, or very few actually do. You lament the fact that only 10 people click through the ads you run on Google. You are frustrated because you want to get more affiliate sales, but nothing seems to be moving as fast as you want. As an affiliate marketer, you need to have proper Online Marketing Strategy. If you are blindly sending out emails or creating advertising campaigns, then you might just get yourself into trouble. At the end of the day, you might even chalk up a loss. This is definitely not smart internet marketing. I would recommend at least three things for online marketing strategy in the context of affiliate marketing. Doing this could mean the difference between a profitable business online, or a completely languid one. First, you need to ask "how quickly will people tell others about me". This is a powerful concept, but few actually structure their marketing efforts to deliberately become viral in nature. Second, you must have a clear sequence. Instead of some very weak marketing messages, you need to have a clear theme leading to a crescendo. It's literally like a wave, and momentum in your affiliate strategy, even if you are marketing a 20-page report requires you to make a campaign that is worthy of a $5,000 product! One mistake that online marketers make is they ignore the momentum required to break through to the audience and grab their attention, and the fastest way to get this done is through credibility and through multiple media messages, such as video and audio. Third, you need to craft your plan such that you know what to offer next. This may seem rudimentary, but in order for your battle plan to be executed perfectly, your army needs to know what has to be done today compared with they had done yesterday. Guidance is what the marketing general needs to do when conquering the market place. Think of yourself as a strategist rather than a tactician, and you'll find that your online marketing strategy will be a smarter, longer term approach than just the typical meagre effort other affiliate marketers use. Managing Complexity
Published by Stuart January 13th, 2008 in Internet Marketing Singapore, Internet Marketing Expert Series, Internet Marketing Academy and Online entrepreneurship. 0 Comments One of the most difficult things in the world is the ability to manage complexity. As entrepreneurs, that???s even more difficult, considering what one of my friends and former army commanders said. So, from my interpretation and my experience as an army officer, this is what I can sum it up to this. As commanders, we???re trained and well-rounded, but it makes us feel like we know everything. Actually whenever we attempt to contribute something in a discussion, we???re just talking nonsense because we don???t really know what???s going on out there in the real world other than our own military operations. The truth is if we had more in-depth exposure and experience will we be able to master complexity better. http://www.internetmarketingsingapore.com/blog/ |

For many people, the best affiliate marketing course is Rosalind Garnder's Super Affiliate Handbook. Having met her personally, I think she rocks. It's seldom that I get to chat with a female affiliate marketer, so it's like I'm a different person after meeting her! Indeed, her manual of knowledge was the highest value for money I'd ever received, specifically about internet affilaite marketing. It was through that that I learnt how to make traffic buy my affiliate recommendations. It was great! Then, I also came across the late Corey Rudl's Insider Secrets to Internet Marketing. It covered a much wider base, and after his demise, it seemed kind of sad to read the 2005 version. The 2006 and 2007 versions are well updated by Derek Gehl, whom I've also had the pleasure to meet. Derek's put together sufficient knowledge to wipe out the entire universe of affiliate trainers. Yet, I've found underground affiliate trainings going on that were far more superior. One of them, more so by demonstration rather than by teaching, was Ewen Chia's Super Affiliate Weapon. It goes for a song on Clickbank, but more importantly, your buying process is representative of the hundreds of thousands who go to that site regularly. It's a great experience. Go check out this amazing work yourself! Ewen happens to be one of my closer internet marketing friends, and I can tell you, if you don't get to chat with him, it's going to be a waste (hey, chat with me too). Affiliate marketing courses abound. There are plenty of other experts whom I've not been able to mention in this short time, but I expect that you will get to know them. I run a couple myself, after being educated by these great people, and I know that if you need a comprehensive, non-technical environment where you meet me face to face and learn the latest techniques in affiliate marketing, join me in the trenches! After being online and jaded, I'm sure all of you aren't blinded from the fact that there actually are quite a number of cool affiliate marketing strategies. However, looking for new strategies is really not the answer to the question "how to make money with affiliate marketing". The most important is to look at time-tested methods. Those that even the gurus are using right now to make money. For example, we all know that affiliate teleseminars are a great way of making money. If you want to know about this, please read about Alex Mandossian's Teleseminar Secrets. Another time-tested approach has been Google Adwords. The approach used in Chris Carpenter's original Google Cash method worked for me - at least a while. Now with the updates and the very down-to-earth strategies in Day Job Killer, this approach has been revived. Learn about Google Adwords from my friend Simon Leung. He's a great guy. I tested several other methods recently. Ezines don't work well if you have lots of content. The more captivating the content, the less people click on your links. So, I'd suggest you keep short notes and let them read one piece of useful content if you want to make your promotion obvious. Another one I tested is the "Don't buy what I'm selling". This is hilarious, especially when you can create the pain in describing why they shouldn't buy. You tell people not to buy your product because there are many free software out there with known bugs. Teach them how to circumvent the bug issue. Show them how to put things together free. It's going to be great, but at some point in time, they will not want to use these. Then, you recommend them "If you *really* want to spend money on a fairly pricey item, then click here". It's surprising how many people actually would rather spend money on an expensive item than to jump through the hoops on a free item. Anyway, I hope that benefits you. I've got a few more tips and tricks at my blog. IF you want the answers to how to make money with affiliate marketing, do join me and my active community of members. |
