Forums are better if you wanted get yr new site crawled by search engines faster because big forums have 1000's of indexed pages in search engines So u get yr site crawled more often but since all links are from same site and might not related to your site links wont be valuable.

I do this alot and I have to say that I agree with the fact that forums are very very powerful to get indexed quick but I say that the higher pr sites that you are linked in as well as a good assortment of links period is the way to get the crawlers visiting more frequently! Afterall, the more link popular you are, the higher PR you achieve as well as good term positioning which is the most important factor to me to get traffic. I will trade PR and all other for a good page position in my needed search terms any day!!

I add my site to my signatures in forums and link from a high pr / traffic site....gets my sites indexed superfast (, anyways). Then I slowly do my link building...

I read somewhere about the fastest way to get listed in . It's by not manually submitting our urls to because if we manually submit through this page (http://.com/addurl.html) then we are in the back of the long queue of websites that are waiting to get indexed in but if we get quality backlinks then we will get indexed quicker.

Hi there, I just wanted to say the fastest I have ever gotten a site indexed was approx 2 hours. I put an ad on Usfreeads.com and butta bing! I checked a couple of hours later and my site was indexed (Only the first page though) along with the usfreeads.com ad I had placed.

I use that site all of the time now to get a fast index. Anyways, hope that helps as well. :)
