Everyone knows that buzz is pretty much like twitter..
I think yes Google Buzz will beat Twitter but it will take atleast 5+ years to do so.
1. Twitter has more than thousands of Applications, Web clients and Desktop Clients used by Millions of people but Google Buzz doesn't.
2. Privacy is the major factor which lacks in Google Buzz.
3. There are thousands of ways for Retweeting but Google buzz doesn't have.

I don't think that Google Buzz has in it to beat Twitter as Twitter has developed itself in a huge way and many people love it.

ya i think Google buzz beat twitter in future.but it will take lot of time because twitter holds its position very firmly now.

I guess as you have mentioned, we would all need to wait and see what would be going on. One thing is important and that is not everything created by Google would become some world famous and their Checkout option is one of the or the Chrome browser or OS. The Buzz seems to be like a powerful web community but only time would make it clear which company would win the competition.

I am also interesting in this topic, but I think that it's the right place for discussing it.
