I do agree that signature link is important in many ways. I do find a lot of people come to click my links in some forums and visit my signature links.

Forum signature links are not just for the search engines though are they. They are also important for those who frequent forums to show other visitors what they have to offer.
IE. SEO company visits seo forum and picks up clients - good for driving traffic to your website and generating sales depending what your business is.

Plus, from our experience. They do mean something to search engines as when performing a backlink check to show up.

Same goes with me. Through joining and posting in forums, you can provide traffic for your site. You can also find some link exchange partners which are related to your theme in joining forums.

Friends I would say that though these links go waste but while doing so search engine count it as back links and just imagine if you have posted forums in nearly 50 forums a week then they are nearly 200 a month and if web crawler crawls that page then it must be counting it as back links so getting 200 back links in in one crawl is not bad it will directly affect your Page Rank and it would be increased surely after that .

Articles are also are the way to get back links.Is any one having any other views regarding Articles.
