Can someone explain to me what Page Rank is? I have seen PR(#) alot and im not sure how it works. What is it and how do you get it higher...or lower?

Pr is a rating system give to websites by Google. The higher the rating the more backlinks and the more important you site is to the eyes of Google.

Its how Google rate your web site. you gets a rating between 0 - 10. Depends of amount of backlinks you have and content of yr website.

My web site has a ton of backlinks, and the content is relevant...it even is on Alexa!

But the PR is and has been 0. No clue why.

The best way to get a higher PR is get back links for related quality web site as many as possible. Also links for web sites with higher PR than u.

Getting backlinks is the key in getting higher pr as well as ranking well in SERPs.

Backlinks play a big role. But I do own a site (PR 3) which has over 250

back links. Also a PR6 Site which only had 40 Google backlinks. Also I noticed using

analytics and

webmaster tools my PR is far more accurate.

Yeah, you need to get backlinks with sites that have high PR.

That's the way to get high PR yourself.

PR is basically Google's way of categorizing sites.
