Inbound links, usually referred to as IBLs or backlinks are essential if a Website is to become popular and rise to the top of the SERPS (Search engine results pages), and over time, a site with plenty of quality content will naturally get linked to by related sites.

This is all well and good, but if you are in a hurry to build Web traffic (and who isn?t?) it is useful to know that there are some things we can do to speed things along.

Before embarking on your link building strategy be aware that some of these methods are open to abuse which could have a negative effect or even get your site banned, so please excercise some common sense and only submit your site?s link when it is relevant and reasonable to do so.

So without further ado, here are 10 tips for obtaining search engine friendly outside links:

I am doing all steps for getting backlinks, but i have just 28 links with in 2 years

The above I take exception to.
I have sites with low to no page rank that show up way ahead of any site with higher page rank and the same keywords.

Believe that

really looks at the overall popularity of your site and how many times people search for your site and click to your site.

thanks for the tips, this is very helpful. One must also choose what site to submit, which is related to the site's topic in order not to be banned. Also, quality sites must also take into consideration. :)

Pages backlinked to you are just links from other sites to you. Google follows them when it "crawls" the net while indexing its pages. The more backlinks you have from other sites to yours, the more times

ends up at your site - this is the start of how it defines popularity. You don't submit the backlinks anywhere. Google will do all the work in finding them.
