Its know fact that we can get traffic from those bookmarking sites , but how these sites help for link building or do they really useful ? I think they are useful if they don't use nofellow tags.

Most of social bookmarking sites use nofollow tags like stumbleupon, del.icio.us, simpy etc. so I don't think they will help in link building but they are surely great for quick traffic.

I didnt know stumbleupon use nofollow tag. well i should check this. but there are few which dont use nofollow and i have seen those among Google reasult.

Even if they use nofollow tags, it will be indexed in search engines, only the PR juice won't be passed. Also the link popularity won't increase. I thin digg doesn't use nofollow tags.

I hate to advertise here but we have a Brand New website at www.blupalicious.com in which it will be a MEGA powerful network and we will NEVER use no-follow atts. for sure!! It is true though for sites like Stum to generate some traffic if you can get in to the main stream!! You should be in as many as you can though to benefit your sites, afterall, that is what Google said that they want!! People managing people in networks!!

Social bookmarking sites does bring in the traffic but if you are into PPC ads these traffic just does not convert well compared to SEO traffic.

That's true because traffic from social bookmarking sites is not very much targeted as compared to CPC or SE traffic. That's why people leave most sites in just 5 seconds. That also happens when people wrongly select interests in their profiles.

Hunter1, I already knew about that website but didn't know that it doesn't use no-follow tags... Off to submit some stories.. :)

well i do see that it brings only traffi but this visitors never come back and visit again from social bookmark
but form i see they visit certain thread to read for their interest
thats seo traffic is very good than social bokmark

Excellent sb225 !! I guarantee you that the site will be very powerful!!. I am out to prove that you can achieve excellent traffic, networking, and Goog juice all in one site. Now that social bookmarking sites are getting popular, they will draw the people who are now experienced in using them. Some of the posts here I agree with but it will not be the case with Blurpalicious. Trust the Hunter on this one!!

Well Social bookmarking traffic is not always law quality, it depends on the quality of yr site content. Most of the time people use search engines when they are desperate to find something or searching. People comes to yr site by Social bookmarking if they finds the topic is interesting and if they find that site is not up to it they simply move on.
