Need help with SEO

We are looking for a company to do our SEO for our site and 20+ clients websites. We have a relatively new site and our SEO has not achieved the results we wanted. Although, we understand SEO we need a company big enough to handle a large request like this. We are looking for a company with a proven record of increasing ranking and traffic and SEO.

We want to get into higher quality content and work with people who can help get us great backlinks from well written popular content. We're mostly focused on real estate, travel and vacation rentals, must be willing to work on very competitive keywords in markets that are already flooded with competitors.

Additional Info:
We are looking at a budget $500 to $1000 per month max for off-site seo. Must show examples of domains ranking well for competitive keywords in local or national market.

Also, we'd prefer to work with a company compared to an individual since we may need help on many additional domains later.

If your company or business is in need of SEO work, take the following steps to ensure your hiring a reputable person / company:

1. Analyze the search engine optimization company. Read through the company website.
2. Find the website's list of specific goals and methods?
3. Look for ethical (white hat) SEO techniques.
4. Feel the website out to sense if it reads like an empty sales pitch.
5. Find out how long the website has been online (whois.sc/companydomainname.com). If the domain is new, they might be a fly-by-night scam.
6. Study the search engine results of the company's website for local terms like "Bay Area SEO Firm".
7. Look for a local company in your area as you will have better communication with them.
8. Ask the SEO company for referrals that you can call.

If you have basic knowledge about SEO stuff then you do not need any recomanded person for this stuff.you can do it yourself and get help through the internet searching, there are lot of tips to get SEO very easily.
