I have been watching lots of search engine robots visits in my stats (especially in this month, the frequency has tripled). Does this mean that it will help in acquiring better rankings and/or page rank?

I guess it means your site got more incoming links and bots comes through these links. So i think it one way can tell this will do a good for your ranking in next PR updates. if those are bots from Google , yahoo and MSN then its really good.

You can see them in here by clicking the who is online in your Quick Links !! Sometimes there are a bunch from all of the engines!! if you do the same thing at YoBux,com you will see that they almost live there!! Interesting!! But yes, the more bots means that there is alot of content with the big factor being the incoming links!!

I think your site is regularly updated because bots are active on sites that have new topics.

Some of those robots are worthless they just eat up bandwidth but we don't get anything in return. IF you don't update your site daily basis then you dont even want Google or Yahoo bot to come daily.
