Hi,
Since you have been associated with website designing so you must be clear about how they are implemented. To move on to web development, it is not tough but would require you learn programming languages. PHP can be a good and easy choice to start with. And if you have good logics then things will be much easier for you. There are never any cons of learning something new, so it will be a good thing to do and if you are successful then it will make your professional profile even stronger. Good Luck!~ |

I would suggest you start with some CMS like joomla or drupal as there are many requirements and its easy to learn as there is not much knowledge of programming needed
After that you can start learning any web development languages like PHP |
