Default Can you explain the B/W and the space?

I'm about to purchase some hosting and I need to be sure I'm getting a right stuff. Could you guys tell me what for example: 10Gb BandWidth means in "human words"? :D
Or the space they give you, for example 5Gb. Is it same as the disk space on your own PC? Can you store same amount of data on your servers 5Gbs as you would store on your owns computer.
Also How much of all these would a normal blog need.
I may sound like I have no idea what I'm talking about?! But it's almost true lol.
Can't wait to hear from youuuuuuuuuuu............

As far as the space goes it should be just fine for a blog but the 10GB of band will be good for a bit but if you start getting decent traffic and if you decide to put videos, music and other goodies, you could run into a problem with the bandwidth!

And yes, the storage is the same. A Server is just a computer designed to administer sites, and a few other things!

A normal blog wouldn't need so much diskspace, but it would need around 10gb bandwidth if you're planning to have so many visitors as well as a lot of images onto your site.

Space is the same as on your computer, very little is needed for a blog. Bandwidth is basically how much users access your site. It is used on the bases of user visits, amount of images and videos, etc.. 10GB is plenty for getting started but if your site gets good amounts of traffic you may need to upgrade.

try not to be deceived from all the hosting offers. Just buy a QUALITY plan of 100 mb and probably 1gb bandwidth (at least for start it will be fine for you). Every host offers upgrades (if you want in future just ask it and it will be a matter of seconds to be made). This plan would be good for you if you don't offer downloads and videos "directly" from your website.

yes, space in hosting same with your hard disk space...you can store your file with that space..
and bandwith means ...how many data transfer from and to your site...

for a normal blog with it doesn't consume many disk space...
for wordpress installation, u only need 5-10 MByte disk space
