Default When to get your host!

I need to learn what are the first or the last things to do while thinking about getting a host.
This is going to be my first domain (probably a blog) and I do not know if I've gathered enough content so far.
I was recommended to get 5gb/90gb shared hosting for about 2$ a month. Seems like a reliable person (nice reviews). What would you guys recommend?
Should I wait and gather enough 1st? (which may take more than a month, since I may start working off line soon)

when you start to become serious on the internet like i did in the year 1995 i got only a domain hosted on my isp's free web space as time comes along you will need to get your own shared, vps or dedicated. make sure if you are in the dedicated server you got lots of income sources so you can continue it, so my answer is at the start of your internet business for people to treat you seriously.
