Yes, This is best way to check dofollow and nofollow links.
i am also using this.

In the page source, you have to check the link that is of your concern to you coz many a times, it so happens that there are many links on a web-page and are mixed. Some are no-follow and some are do-follow. You have to choose wisely and accordingly decide where you want to have your link............

I think it's better to use search status it has many purpose not only identifying if a link is dofollow or nofollow

Does it really matter? Posting in forums is more about the discussion, the content of the discussion, as against getting the link. If it was a nofollow and gained me traffic, i would be every bit happier than it being a dofollow and no traffic.

If its dofollow and gains traffic, added bonus. ;)

JMO.

Dofollow forums are much better because you get the added benefits of a back link.

You could try using seoquake.

Easy ...

Use use seoquake or search stats addons for Mozilla

you will get highlighted no follow link
