Do you guys prefer to write your own script or use the pre-made ones which can be found in abundance on different resource websites (some even for free)?

Since I know nothing about scripting, therefore I always use the pre-made ones.

I really enjoy writing my own, however, I very often use pre-written scripts and just edit/modify the content.

Some time i like to make my own script and some time i download script and use to modify.It really depends on how much i have?.If am free then i design my own other wise i try to modify.

it depends if you know and you don't find one that is acceptable for your needs then you should try to write one or edit an older one. But this a pain and time consuming.

I like to write my own scripts so I can edit them when i want. Better to learn to fish than have other people catch it for you, right?

You get to a certain level where you have the knowledge and confidence to write your own scripts I think.
I used to download loads of stuff. But I learnt from it and taught myself new techniques.
Now, I code everything myself. If I get stuck, I learn, then code it.

Nothing beats the satisfaction of finishing a fantastic bit of coding of which at the end you can say..."I coded that ;)" lol
