First timer here...and have a very basic question to which the answer is probably very obvious. What is the difference bwtn a Web Developer and a Web Master? Thanks in advance.

Well 1st....Welcome to DevHunters! We are glad that you are checking us out.

2nd...

A Web Developer does just what the title says, they develop anything related to what ever they are experienced in concerning websites, code, or whatever their field is.

A Webmaster is more in to a full spectrum of things and either does it all or arranges for it to be done but a Webmaster goes much deeper than that..

Not to say that a Web Developer can't also be a Webmaster..

Not as confused as I was. The bottom line I guess is which one makes more money! I'm changing fields and have found programs for both. The Web Master program looks much more extensive so your response makes sense. Maybe the Web Development would be a good starting point?

Hello kycats1638, Welcome to the forum, I don't know that one would make more than the other as it will depend on what kind of clients and jobs you can pick up.

Webmaster is probably would take longer to learn but I don't know that for sure.
