I would say both since you would have a better design and optimization.

You should use CSS, it gives you a lot more design options and versatility. Dreamweaver uses it automatically, but it can make the CSS pretty messy.

I don't like CSS a lot so I try to depend on HTML and little CSS.
Also SE robots can't understand CSS.

i would like to correct Lizza.

u said css OR html

rather you should say css AND html

as both works together ofcourse html - mother of all languages.

robots do understand css. and its quiet a nice way to edit sites built in css.

regards

css is more for designing purposes but it won't help u build ur website whereas HTML helps to design and build ur website. CSS is used if u want to make ur site look nicer and more pleasant. ;)

HTML is Ok for basic things. PHP is for a more professional way of looking for your site.

Well at least i think so :)

HTML is a necessity. CSS is a luxury and relieves a lot of headache. I would suggest you to add CSS if you are thinking of a larger project.

There is not such thing as CSS without HTML.. CSS just applies attributes to HTML.

Now you cant use HTML without CSS. It has already become a part of it. no longer have have to use lousy HTML borders you can use CSS 1px nice and thin borders. Thats just a one example.

you only need html to create web design, but to add pizzaz to it, try integrating css.

I noticed that complex HTML pages take lots of time to load. Hover buttons don't work too well on HTML pages either. So CSS is quite important, I feel it helps the pages load faster. The thing with CSS is that when you know how to use it well, it's almost necessary.;) In many cases, a HTML page would automatically include CSS.

What? Your saying if you use CSS styling your page will load faster. I don't think so. And by the way hover buttons work fine in HTML.

Its really that CSS loads faster than Java scripts. Now you can do many things you do with java scripts with CSS too.

Ahh, not too much actually. CSS is only styling, javascript can do all sorts of things, its a real language and css is just speadsheets.
