Do you guys really think these Google site maps helps the Site SEO ? I put them but i haven't noticed anything getting different in last 6 months.

they surely help always Generate a site map that links to every page in your site. Search engines like pages that can be accessed easily, so make sure your important pages remain in the first or second level

I have tried it and I believe it is helping. They help Google to know every URL of your site. That helps them crawl better and can help Google get the most out of your site.

One helpful thing i can tell is that you can limit the unwanted spider visits So you can get an amount of bandwidth saved.
