Looks like i am odd on out on this topic. It is registering the domain for a few days, checking the traffic and if it isnt worth , then you drop the domain.

Hey mate, you dont loose the full reg fee when you drop the domain with some registrars. Only a few cents is lost. Thats what domain tasting is all about. :D

Never done hardcore domain tasting. had little to no success for what i've done.
