Keywords are very important in the domaining industry it what makes or breaks your domain values.

1. Keyword checkers: check the density or how often a given keyword is searched on .

2. Common Premium Keyword on Available Extensions:
http://www.premiumdomain.com/tld/com/ - Prime keyword list or good for a .com
http://www.premiumdomain.com/tld/net/ - Prime keyword list or good for a .net
http://www.premiumdomain.com/tld/org/ - Prime keyword list or good for a .org
so on and so forth, just replace the last folder for a given extension you want to register

3. Google.com
use the following parameters: link:domain.com - to see the backlinks of the domain
site:domain.com - to see the index of a specific domain as listed on

4. Domain Age Checking: shows you the number of years a domain has been regged.

5. Domain Score
What is domain Score?
It's a score that measures the quality of an english domain name.

With Statbrain.com you can find out how many visits any site has, enter the site into the form below.
Statbrain uses different resources on the web combined with mathematical and statistical methods to estimate how many visits a website has. Please enter the URL of the website that you would like to check.

7. Domain Auto appraisers: (Just make it as a guide, use all domain tools first and then make your appraisals and then consult these tools )

So a real domain appraisal for it to be near the price of the domain takes time and research with all the tools I come up with above, I bet I never scratched the surface or mentioned even a tiny part of the tools you need to use, and afterwards with the combination of these tools and the more domain tools you know the more approximate your domain price is, then you base your price on these results.

Good post, very nice info. well i do use wordtracker and Google Adwords tool for keyword analysis. but all the other tools are really wonderful and found useful.
