I believe (and Ive never used it but this is from what I have heard) the domain owner gives escrow the name, the buyer gives escrow the money. Then once both have submitted whatever their is to submit escrow gives the green light and transfers to the respective party. I could be wrong but I think thats basically right.

Eventhough I used it about a year ago. I think that Domainer50 has it about right.

Has anyone used Moniker's escrow service? How long they take to close the deal?

I have never heard of Monikers Escrow... I can't find it in Google either.

To answer your other question, mine took about 48 hours. Both parties need to be online and exchange the products and confirm the stuff through Escrow.com Basically in other words, the quicker you do it, the quicker it will be over.
