I think the worst one is Yahoo domains. There you cant transfer domain out of them which is really suck support is not great too. Also i have heard that 1&1 is really sux too.

I don't like godaddy very much because whenever you use it they bombard you with lots of ads.

RegFly is the absolute worst registrar ever in the history of time and all good and bad things here, past, or to come. Period, Sentence. Paragraph. :D

Wow, I think I use 80% of the biggies but I will say this for GoDaddy, when you change the name servers, they propagate just about instant,,, but I hate all of the ads too!! I Hate Spam Mail!!!!

I do not trust most web hosting companies who also offer domain registrations by becoming domain resellers of big companies. It gets even worse when these companies do not give full control to the real owner.

I prefer Godaddy to 1&1 or Yahoo. Only bad thing about them is that their Ad's and spam Mails. At least mails are ok since they always put a discount code.

Besides the whole RegFly disaster, I would say 1&1 is one of the worst. It's not that they aren't reliable, but their cancellation is a pain in the butt, they have no way to shut off their auto-renew, and they have no push mechanism if you plan to sell the names. It's always a nightmare to get a name transferred when I sell it on Sedo (even though 1&1 and Sedo are together). If you plan to have a name directed to a website that you plan to keep, it's not too bad. They did send me a note that they are going up to $6.99 now instead of $5.99.

I have not tried many different registrars but yesterday I have bought a registered domain from someone. The registrar is whiz.in . When I go to its dontrol panel, I see that everything is messed-up. I could not find even dns change easily.

For that reason, I thing whiz.in is not a good one.

Did you buy a ccTLD or a TLD ? well I always stick with popular international registrars. are you sure they are a registrar ? or might be a reseller.
