What is better to use in domains, Forum or Forums?

If it is a discussion forum for visitors coming to a developed website then it should be on a subdomain.

Like:

forum.xyz.com

forums.domain.com is the way I use it normally. Its simple, clear, easy to back up and move if you want.

I remember reading somewhere that it is better to do that for seo??

I like the plural (forums) more.
As to subdirs and subdomains it depends on what type of sites you have. But, generally I'd go with a subdomain.

Mine is forums.domain.com since this is what the majority I believe is using.

I prefer to use the domain.com/forums However for most of my fourms i reg, domainforums.com I think it looks better and is easy to remember.
