Forum or Forums?

What is better to use in domains, Forum or Forums?

If it is a discussion forum for visitors coming to a developed website then it should be on a subdomain.

Like:

forum.xyz.com

forums.domain.com is the way I use it normally. Its simple, clear, easy to back up and move if you want.

I like the plural (forums) more.
As to subdirs and subdomains it depends on what type of sites you have. But, generally I'd go with a subdomain.

Forum is a better choice. Forums gives an impression of generic and nothing specific kind of destination.
I think forum will have more seriousness and more customers will come on it.

But ofcourse it depends on what type of sites you have.
