PHPBB is great and I suggest it because its easy to work with and if you have problems everyone can help you :P

I prefer SMF, I always used to SMF before switching over to vB.

I like MyBB. it is the best one. Installation of mods is very easy.

I think PHPBB is best, they do update the software and fix security risks. many cool mods too.
