Do you like flash in websites or you prefer more simple but also attractive html pages? In this poll you can choose more than one. For exaple... i prefer plain good looking html pages AND i hate see websites to be designed entirely in flash. You can explain your choice if you want

I actually love to see an entire flash site as my high speed internet is fine with it but the 2 BIG downsides are this:

1. Serps cannot read flash so you will not get anywhere in the terms or any rank!!

2. Alot of people still have dial up connections for internet and they cannot even see your sight correctly!!

I believe that is a big mistake to use too much flash.. yeah it looks pretty but has many disadvantages! I think it should be used only on fancy websites. Or maybe on logos or on web campaigns (small flash applications) or photo galleries and it also depends on what target group of visitors you want to have or already have. For example if your majority of visitors come from country that DSL is not very popular then... But i am against flash and for many other reasons

I would only prefer if there is just a little bit of flash to give the website a better feel, but if it is too much and too big in a file size then i wouldn't be visiting the website again.

I like flash, they look cool. And the html starts boring :) Flash can show short movies and HTML not.

I think flash banners are ok unless then make the site slow. only problem with flash is that its hard to do SEO , full flash sites.

Flash should be reserved for content like movies, games or animations and not integrated with your sites layout, let alone having your entire site made in flash. Those types of sites are good for marketing for companies.

Some flash works on a site is ok but search engines have problems with text in flash because it is so complex for spiders to understand and index it. Try to avoide flash works on your site for better SERPs.

What I hate is seeing non professional flash developers try to make complete flash sites, because flash designs are simply terrible unless done by professionals in sites such as band's sites, etc.

Well created flash only websites look really attractive then those html/text based websites but I really prefer to create html websites only because as far as I know search engines do not recognize flash. So text is the only way to get the attention of search engines. However, using flash in a part of the site looks pretty good.

Full Flash Websites is not heavy as what you said guys. It depends on you developer to develop a good site and it depends to your server provider also.

A lot of full flash website design and really works as great.

Flash is very hard to optimize for search engines since they don't actually read the flash code. It's good for sites that already have a prebuilt marketing plan in place. To me, I think flash can be quite stunning, but in the end I like the faster load times of standard HTML.
