What exactly is parking?

If I understand correctly it is a service that pays you for letting them use your domain name to get traffic to a main site. Is that right? I have a domain that I would like to park. I just don't know what to do next. What are the requirements for the majority of the parking services? Thanks in advance btw. Dave

Therefore, you are quite right but you are referring to parked domain monetization.
In short, domain parking is a process where you register a domain and leave it until you are ready to use it.

As for your concern, I think there is no such requirements on domain parking. Just purchase domain names, park it if you're not yet ready to use it and monetize it. Simply register it to parking services like SEDO, domainspa, parkquick, etc. That's it!

Parking is a form of generating revenue whilst you are not using the domain for a website.

You will need to update the nameservers on any domain you want to park with sedo do that it displays a parking page.
