If i have lot's of domain than i would make a test at Sedo platform
If i wanna higher cpc than i would shift my domains one by one to namedrive

Than i would concentrate more on the domains which would be generating good $$ in real time.

I've been using Sedo for about 2 years now

...good story for ya...

... so, i'm a big yankees fan who follows the team daily. I mean,i know the farm system extremely well, the story lines and all the other hoopla...
...so in the summer of 2006, they had this kid coming out of the minors that was supposed to be like the next roger clemens.... he had a pretty cool name and i knew there was an opportunity here

His name is JOBA CHAMBERLAIN
(Prounounced: JaBah)

but jobachamberlain(.)com was taken...
... so i looked for the misspelling variation and sure enough - it was available - so i took it
... i have, and ever since have, owned:
www.JabaChamberlain.com

...the first thing i did was i parked it at sedo, slapped a couple of innocent keywords behind it, and left it alone

Well, the kid came up and, man - he threw pellets... i mean, he just DOMINATED!!!
... Yankees fans and even New York was ABUZZ about young Joba ... he woul pump his fists and get all excited - the crowd loved him...there's something different about Joba .. he has this energy and appeal that really clicked with everybody...
.... and then everybody just HAD to know more about him.

Sure enough, they all ran to the computers looking for their new idol, and i can't even tell you how many people really misspelled his name and simply BLEW UP sedo page for JABAchamberlain ...

... I wound up with $80 that first month of Joba's career. (more like 3 weeks)

and then ...
...it came time to pay me for all my clicks...

.... so... someboedy from the staff actually called me up personally and told me they were 'investigating' my account. They told me the traffic was extremely rare and high for what sedo normally does and wanted to know what happened...
...i explained the joba story from above, and that was that ..

they took a couple more days of 'investigating' and eventually found the story to be just what it was - just one of those things - and they paid me without another problem.

while the public now knows how to spell his name correctly, the traffic has since slowed, but, not surprisingly, it still generates a couple of dollars a month

... without a PR at all!

Enjoy!

Hey HS,

That is indeed a rare case at SEDO! But nice one! ;)

So it's like you're encouraging people to purchase domains and park it? lol I know it's not really advisable but sometimes it's the reasons of others why they do it coz it serve as an investment to some.

nothing wrong with buying domains and parking them.

It's actually a good way gauge the strength in the domain name, as well as adding much valuable 'service time' at the same time.

Yes understood.

That's basically what 'domainers' do to profit. But parking domains isn't really a good venture nowadays.

Check this article I've read about Domain Parking -- The Death of Domain Parking and the Birth of a New Vertical Web 2.0 Empire. This is a good read!

I agree with you about not being the most profitable, however, for me, domain parking is something similar to a 'waiting room'
Most of the names i have, and i only have a modest collection in comparison to the REAL domainers (i have 80), are web sites that i would LIKE to some day get around to making... so i lock up the domain and park it for 'seasoning'.

And while i read the article you posted, it still sounds no different than traditional parking.... except they would be controlling the content better.

I agree to the above comments about SEDO, but I would strongly suggest Skenzo - Domain Parking Company | Exclusive Traffic Monetization Programs one of the best domain monetizing companies in the industry today

Afternic.com is one hack of a sluggish domain seller. I keep domains there for 3 years and they stay there like chicken sitting on a stick in a barn.

Bought listings for money, but still didn't help. My domains are very good names of 2 words mostly, still nobody buy anything!

Forget Afternic...

Any new ideas about how I can sell a domain?
