Default Can I make a subdomain?

I have registered the domain, which I'm using as a blog right now.
Can I make sub-domains and let say give it to my friends?
How does it work?!
And would it be beneficial for a domain in general?!
Thx!

Yes you could. Go to the SubDomains part of your index page for your domain and add a domain name. A file will be made and you just simply upload files there.

Yes, but you'll need a hosting account that allows you to add them. Best bet would be to ask your host, as some hosts are setup differently on how to create them.

well i also agree with it, the ability to make subdomains and also number of subdomains depends mainly on the hosting firm so better check with them.

It's not hard to get a subdomain up. Though I've always wondered, how do you create a subdomain with code?

You can make sub domains from cpanel and give it to your friends. good side of it is that your main domain be benefited seo wise. but they will use bandwidth and space allocated to your hosting account and if they do something bad u will be responsible for that too since its your account. Also you can't give them separate cpanel users because there is only one cpanel user u have since your account is shared.

of cource you can do its and it s a matter of seconds to do it with cpanel. Most hosts allow to make many or unlimited subdomains. in seo there s nothing to worry about. The only effects to you will be good. You will have only bad effects if the other person use it to upload "Bad or illegal content".
The thing that i do not know is that if you use subdomain to use a an addon domain if the the addon domain is affected bad in seo because is on an subdomain. Anyone knows something about that?

It depends on your hosting package.
Some hostings don't allow you to make subdomains. If your hosting give you this allowance, you can do it. Basically it is very easy to create a subdomain on Cpanel hosting. Go to "subdomains" section and create one. That's all. But the other control panels may be some different or hard.

Yes you can. Some web hosts have limits to how many subdomains you can have though.
