They have recently released a new version of free script. I tried to dump the old database with new script and it worked fine but I'm not able to login to admin panel. Could anyone fix it? If yes, please shoot me a PM.

I think the new free version is phpLD 2.1.2

The old free version was phpLD 2 only. I still haven't figured out the login solution after upgration.

I still use phpLD 2.1.1 and Im not sure should upgrade it or not. What are the major changes in this version ?

It is still free all 2.x versions you have to pay only for 3.x versions. I have installed 2.1.2 in one of my sites but i don't see anything added maybe only bug fixes. Also its a new installation not a upgrade.

Yeah phpLD is free. There are much better alternatives, though, like Barracuda.
