my wife now, we became best friends first then we fall in love with each other. i think not it's not bad, since most basic foundation of any successful relationships starts with friendship.

One way its good your best friend might have a better understanding of you than others. Bad side you might loose both the friend and lover if you something happened to the relationship.

Yes, but as puffin said: you loose both the friend and lover. It's just happened to me .
