If you haven't heard by now, Heath Ledger, who you may remember as the light haired cowboy in Brokeback Mountain or the pseudo knight in A Knight's Tale, died yesterday. His body was found in his rented apartment in NY by the housekeeper. He was naked and there were sleeping pills involved. There will be an autopsy on Wednesday with a tox screen that will determine the true cause of death. They don't expect that they will find foul play, but they aren't ruling it out just yet. It's more likely an accidental overdose.

He is survived by his ex-girlfriend actress Michelle Williams, you played his wife in Brokeback Mountain. She also played in such movies as Boys Don't Cry, Dick, and the TV series Dawson's Creek. They had a 2 year old daughter together, but have been broken up for almos a year.

Heath did finish filming The Dark Knight in which he played the joker. He said that the character had disturbed him so much that he couldn't sleep and began taking Ambien. There is speculation that the comment he made is related.

Another odd note to this story. The apartment he was renting was said to belong to the Olsen Twins.
